How it Works

1. Make sure your RWD car is ready for the day (feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your car’s set-up)
2. Take a look at www.dwyb.co.uk or any other practice day venue, find some dates you think you can do, then email us to find out if one of the tutors is available on your chosen dates.
3. Once there is a date that both you and one of our tutors can do, go and book your practice day with the venue and then come back to us to confirm you’re going! At this point go to the Book Now page, choose your tuition package and then buy online through PayPal.

You will be contacted a day or two before your day to confirm you can still go, and then your tutor will come out and meet you there!

What do you need to bring with you on the day?

1. You and your car!
2. Plenty of spare tyres!
3. Refreshments
4. Basic Tools and Jack to change tyres with
5. The safety equipment stipulated by your chosen venue (again feel free to contact us to clarify)

Throughout your day, your tutor will ride shot gun with you and demonstrate, offering you their wealth of knowledge and vast experience on car setup and drifting skills to push you to the next level!

Practice days are held throughout the country and can be booked easily.

If you decide that you would like to drift on a more regular basis and maybe even get into competing, you will need to look into modifying and tuning your car for performance and safety! Our tutor will be able to give advice on the best products to go for, where you can get them from and also how to fit them!

Who is this for?
The drifting lessons are available for anyone! From complete beginners looking for a confidence boost, through to someone with experience who would like to take their skills further and even help to give their competitive driving a push in the right direction!

I’m due to compete... can you coach me on the day?
Yes! Drift Tutor is ideal for this - our tutors are experienced judges as-well as drivers and they can be there to guide you throughout the day. This means they can be helping you throughout the practice session and can also watch you during the competition to give you pointers that can help you.

Do I drive one of your cars or my own?
You’ll be driving your own car, because all cars handle differently and trying to learn in one car and then getting back into your own can make life a bit harder. Being in your own car and learning how it responds to you and seeing how your Drift Tutor handles it can give you a much deeper insight on the techniques needed to push you and your own car further. Therefore, it’s much more beneficial to you to have your one-on-one tuition in this way.

I’m in a team and we’d like to progress further – can we book a tutor between us?
We are able to offer up to four drivers a full day of tuition from one tutor. We don’t take on anymore in a group package as we feel it’s important to get as much time and attention from our tutor as possible. This particular package is great value as you can split the cost between you and still get enough time with our tutor to see improvement!

I’ve booked a full day with you, am I able to get any photographs?
Drift Tutor is in affiliation with Doristars - Europe’s leading drifting photography company. Ross and Laura are the photographers and providing they are able to get to your event, you will be able to have a disc of images. It is very rare that Doristars can’t cover an event so it is highly likely you can get some taken. Your photographs can either be emailed to you after your event, or you can pay for a disc to be posted to you.

Can I buy a Gift Voucher?
Gift vouchers are now available to buy on the Book Now page. There is no expiry and can be used at any drift practice/licensing/competition day. This way the driver you're buying for feels no pressure to have to get their car ready quickly and can even wait for the warmer weather if preferred. A full day of beginner and full day of advanced tuition is available for the gift voucher. It will come printed on premium card with a personalised accompanying letter explaining what to expect on the day and how to use it. When buying, please ensure that you tell us all you can about the driver and their car in the booking form.
