JDM AllStars Round 3, Sunderland Nissan Centre!

After an epic 8.5 drive to the sunny north on my fine country I arrived tired but keen at the Nissan factory for another top JDM AllStars street course!! Now at night I could not see the track propa like, and had some reservations... but after a good night’s sleep, with Bon Bon at the foot of my bed like a little kitty I awoke to find the track was awesome!!! Fast aggressive entry with slower technical section that then built back up into a smoke show fast corner!!

So car ready to rock, I had some practice, talked some rubbish with my mates, fixed some cheap metal parts and was ready to do battle!!

I qualified 4th place, so meh ok I guess lol... On with the first battle! Nice close safe runs, just getting a feel for how the track is for twin action and take the win!

Battle two saw me against the angry Irish V8 powered S15 – an awesome car and driver. We battle, its close, so a one more time is called!!! I needed to go back to the pits and get fresh rubber, and the whole time I was thinking, oh damn he was fast! I went for new tyres, bigger ones lol and psyched myself up again ready to go back out. We battle again and this time even closer than before, with more smoke and speed! Results came... I win, ah sigh of relief!!!

So onto the top 4 battle.. I lead, pull a nice gap with a fast run, and I’m feeling good about having another final!!! I follow; sit on the door, driving a little too close maybe lol nah just how it should be! I’m thinking “I got this!”, and then sod’s law on the slow section of the track I bloody miss shift causing me to straighten for a second. I lose!!! Oh well, happy with the car so only myself to blame!

Next up, the top 3 battle! We head out and it’s close, real close! I run a fast wide smokey line, just having fun at this point and showing off to crowd!!! It seemed to go well but I wasn’t sure how I’d done or what the result was at this point.

We pull over to podium to watch the cool final battle! It was exciting to watch and I was real keen to know the overall result.

What do ya know turns out I got 3rd place!!! So 3 podiums in a row, can’t complain about that!!
